The Lake George Steamboat Company's
137-foot tour boat Minne-Ha-Ha was built at Lake George and
launched in July, 1969. This 500-passenger vessel is among the most popular on the lake. Designed to look like
a Mississippi River paddle wheeler, this vessel, complete with glass-enclosed engine and working steam calliope
has all the charm of a vintage steamboat.
The name Minne-Ha-Ha is derived from an old
Indian name meaning "laughing waters."
